Hmmm...

So I read The Noticer by Andy Andrews. When I first started it I thought "Oh boy, this is going to be just another simpering, overemotional, and underdeveloped christian story." Well... I am not afraid to admit I was wrong. The story was about a man, who called himself The Noticer (go figure), who pretty much hung around this small ocean side town butting into every one's business. The characters weren't exactly developed like you would expect in a good story, however, the whole focus was so obviously not on the characters but the message.
The old man, The Noticer, was of course God. He arrived into that little town to give the people what he quite often called "perspective". Believe me, that's exactly what you got. The verbiage of the story was not oxford caliber, but I suppose the author wanted the message to be simply translated by the reader. I like that it was not complicated by big stuffy words.
If you like reading christian nonfiction, and you like a good story,, then you will probably not like this one. If your looking for a little Perspective", however, then I suggest you pick up this book. I admit that I stayed up until 2 AM to read it. It's short but full of wisdom and humor. You will find yourself relating to every experience each of the many characters undergo. By the time I finished the story, I found myself thinking about my mountains and valleys in a totally new light. I loved it!
