It's been a while since I have been here. It's funny, but I suppose that I found it hard to share my thoughts with the rest of the world. When I signed up for this I had thought to myself, "This'll be easy. I can talk I want on this thing." Unfortunately that proved untrue for me. I'm not the type of person, usually, that says things just to be saying them. I don't give a running commentary on my life, I suppose, mostly cause I don't think I'm that interesting, haha. However, I have a friend, a writer friend, who says i need to do this because it would be a good way to get feedback for my won writing. I just have a hard time putting myself out there like that, you know?
Well, I won't be putting any writing on here today. I do have some, but I prefer to do it when i have some time to comment on my stuff... you know, explain. I write poetry, some, but mostly I write Speculative fiction and fantasy. I hope, that those of you who stumble upon this page, will enjoy it. I hope that somebody out there gets to know me a little.
Enjoy your week! :-)

A New Book
I just finished The Karma of Jesus by Mark Herringshaw. I love Christian Apologetics so this book was right up my alley. Of course being an apologetic it is heavy theologically. In short, I'll have to read it more than once.
The book centers on a couple conversations Mr. Herringshaw had with some hecklers at a couple of his speeches. They asked some interesting questions and he did his best to give decent answers. Mostly they asked about justice and how God dispences it.
Universally speaking, all people commonly accept the idea that we reap what we sow. Sow good seeds, get a good harvest. Sow bad ones and the harvest will be the same. Herringshaw attempts to take a look at this commonly held belief through God's salvation plan. He starts out with giving a brief history lesson on the beginnings of the concept of karma and slowly builds an argument for salvation through Christ using plenty of history, humor, theology, and sometimes philosophy.
The book was really good and of course intends the reader to think actively while reading. I really enjoyed it and do plan on re-reading it for a deeper and better understanding. If books of this sort are within your interests, I do suggest you add this one in particular to your list.

Hmmm...
So I read The Noticer by Andy Andrews. When I first started it I thought "Oh boy, this is going to be just another simpering, overemotional, and underdeveloped christian story." Well... I am not afraid to admit I was wrong. The story was about a man, who called himself The Noticer (go figure), who pretty much hung around this small ocean side town butting into every one's business. The characters weren't exactly developed like you would expect in a good story, however, the whole focus was so obviously not on the characters but the message.
The old man, The Noticer, was of course God. He arrived into that little town to give the people what he quite often called "perspective". Believe me, that's exactly what you got. The verbiage of the story was not oxford caliber, but I suppose the author wanted the message to be simply translated by the reader. I like that it was not complicated by big stuffy words.
If you like reading christian nonfiction, and you like a good story,, then you will probably not like this one. If your looking for a little Perspective", however, then I suggest you pick up this book. I admit that I stayed up until 2 AM to read it. It's short but full of wisdom and humor. You will find yourself relating to every experience each of the many characters undergo. By the time I finished the story, I found myself thinking about my mountains and valleys in a totally new light. I loved it!

Don't ask me what made me decide to do this. However, I feel I am opinionated enough to share my thoughts. Ha ha! We will see...
